You can participate by visiting the Lattakia Discovery Centre and exploring the Amwaj Massar exhibit and its activities. The same journey can be experienced at The Homs Discovery Centre which will be opened by the end of the year.

Participation in The National Touring Program is organised through schools and education directorates. You can always participate in activities announced by Massar in the media or on its website www.massar.sy

The project tries to engage the biggest number of young people in its activities without any discrimination of their location, educational level and mental or physical abilities.

Why did Massar chose music as the theme of its first discovery centre?

We chose music to be the theme for the Lattakia Discovery Centre because the first musical writings in the world were discovered near Lattakia, in Ugarit city. Music is only a tool for the discovery center, and not the goal.  All exhibits will be touring to other discovery centres that will be opened in other cities.

Can handicaps participate in Massar programmes and activities?

Massar designs its programmes to take everyone into consideration, including differently abled young people, in order to enable them to participate in all activities.

How does Massar finance its programmes?

To make this project a reality, the project requires the collective support of the Syrian public and private sectors, all segments of its diverse and multicultural community, as well as strong partnerships on a local, national and international level.

Massar’s funding to date has come from a variety of sources including corporate donors in Syria, grant-giving Trusts, private donors in Syria and overseas, in addition to a grant from the government for the discovery centres’ construction.
